Hi Guys,
Just thought I would let you know that I am officially in remission!!!! It seems that every time I reduce the budesonide I have a reaction but then settle! I think a lot was anxiety! Anyway, both my GP and Consultant don't want to see me for 6 months! I am off steroids. My BP is 131/81 - resting pulse 61!!! And I seem to just be gluten intolerant. I thought for a while dairy might be an issue but it seems not. I still go 2-4 times a day but 90% of the time formed although sometimes rough round the edges! But I have tonnes of energy - which is just as well because my work has just gone stratospheric in a really great way! That is also why I haven't been around much of late but I am a part of this family and will continue to be!! Families should be able to enjoy the good news!!! Talk soon!
Anne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I work for the Minister for the Environment here in Northern Ireland. My particular brief is Education and my energy has focused on Eco-Schools which is an international programme operating in 55 countries in which schools take action for the environment. It is integrated with the school curriculum and involves a seven step programme and ten topics. Schools work through Bronze and Silver awards with the ultimate aim of gaining the prestigious Green Flag Award which is externally assessed. When I started on this project in 2005 less than 50 schools were involved. We are now (as of last Friday) sitting at 1010 out of 1201 i.e. 84% of schools here are now registered Eco-Schools. The Minister has set the goal of 100% uptake and that is what I am working on. I have developed a marketing communications plan and he has written to the remaining 191 schools to encourage them to join! Next year marks 20 years of Eco-Schools and the first Green Flag awarded in the world was to a Northern Irish school back in 1994! So my work is really cut out to make this happen!
