I absolutely LOVE blueberries. In fact, they are one of the only fruits I love, I am a veggie girl and could live without fruits.... however, blueberries are something I have little self control to say NO to. And this year they are incredibly huge and juicy, and I indulged, and my body let me know all about it.... I just couldn't help it.

Seriously, why blueberries, why!?!?

My other trigger foods I am having a hard time avoiding right now are cheese and eggs and pretty much all veggies. Zucchini, avacado and squash don't upset me, but pretty much everything else does.

Some days this is so frustrating... anyways, just a post to whine a little, cause I know y'all would understand.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Food Intolerances : Gluten, casein, soy, and avenin, (avenin is the prolamin in oats, which is equivalent to the gluten in wheat), beef, grapes, peanuts, cashews, almonds, (but nut butters seem OK except for peanuts), citric acid, chocolate, and agar.

The problem is probably the skin. Mathematically, as the diameter of a sphere decreases, the ratio of the surface area to the volume increases. Therefore, because most of the fiber is in the skin of fruit or berries, the percentage of fiber in the skin relative to the "pulp" inside becomes much more significant with smaller diameter fruit/berries.

The good news is that after you have been in remission for a while (and your digestive system has had time to do some healing) you should be able to slowly introduce more fiber into your diet.

Sometimes we have to just take life 1 day at a time and look forward to better times ahead.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Would it help to cook them? My boyfriend cooks them on the stove in water, with pears. Delicious warm or cold. I don't seem to react to them that way.

It's so delicious! I don't like eating them any other way now that I have been thoroughly spoiled. Here's the thing, my bf adds a little sugar to the sauce it creates but I think if you added Stevia instead of regular sugar, it would be just fine.
