August 2009

Highly reactive (red): lettuce, tapioca, salicylic acid, lecithin

Moderately reactive (tellow): Capsaicin, solanine, FDC blue #2, sorbc acid, MSG, sodium sulfite, saccharin, American cheese, sesame, cane sugar, lemon, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, grape, orange, strawberry, cantaloupe, apple, blueberry, apricot, broccoli, green pepper, sweet potato, asparagus, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, amaranth, wheat, beef, turkey, yeast mix, cashew, pistachio, almond, lima bean

Re-tested January 2012:

Highly reactive: grape, pear, shrimp (all 3 are on the yellow/red line and all 3 were previously green)

Moderately reactive: lecithin (previously red), tyramine, MSG, caffeine, maple, banana, pineapple, strawberry, avocado, peach, olive, asparagus, lettuce (previously red), chicken, pork, beef, lima beans, lentil

Food Intolerances : gluten, soy, casien, eggs, legumes, Pepto Bismol, all fruit except mango, all vegetables, tomatoes, onions, peppers, carrageenan, chicken, beef, orange roughy, cucumber, vinegar, chocolate, olives, buckwheat, millet, tapioca, sorghum, rice

Those are very interesting results, Mary Beth. None of your original highly reactive foods appear on your new list, but some of the moderately reactive foods moved up to become reactive.

You have a much shorter list of moderately reactive foods, but some stubborn foods haven't budged off the list. I guess they need to be permanently eliminated.

Banana, pineapple, strawberry, avocado are all high in histamines. I've noticed some similarity between my MRT test results and the histamine level of some of the foods, but it's not consistent.

Do you have any insight or explanation for the changes in your results?
