I LOVE my Magic Bullet, my newest toy! It's a small, powerful blender. Mary Beth had mentioned it some time ago, and I found one on sale at Macy's for $39.95.

I made my breakfast today in it: I used the small cup to blend scrambled eggs (with cut up red pepper and onion) and the large cup to blend a smoothie with banana, blood orange sorbet, and apple juice. It took all of 3 minutes to do everything! You can even drink the smoothie using the same cup you made it in by screwing on a plastic lip.

This is a perfect tool for MCers, since it is so easy to make individual servings. (Does anyone else often find themselves off in a corner of the kitchen preparing their own meal?) It is so much better than using the huge blender or food processor, where it's hard to get an individual serving out of the bottom. And you don't have to scrape down the sides.....you simply pick up the cup and shake it between pulsings.

It has been so useful (have also made nut creams in it) that it has remained out on the counter since I bought it! And, every part is microwave and dishwasher safe.

The company should pay me for advertising for them, you think??? HAHAHA.

Hugs,

Polly

I love my Magic Bullet too. I think ours is about ready to go out and I'm ready for a replacement, LOL! We make lots of smoothies but I have also used it to make thinks like salsa and chimichurri sauce. I even made a small batch of nutbutter it it. It really is an amazing gadget that even kids can use.

I haven't found one that inexpensive yet. I'm going to watch for a sale.

The smoothies sound good. I use to make one with whey, frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, flax seed oil, fiber (don't need that anymore) bee pollen, and it was a good filling lunch or breakfast. Now I have been staying away from dairy so can't use whey, but need something for protein and calories. I'm down to 102 lbs. I have to stay away from raw fruits, do you all think I could eat fruits that are pureed in a blender? The Magic Bullet sounds great and I'm going to look into that. Any good ideas or websites? Do you tolerate the fruits this way?

I use coconut milk or coconut milk beverage for smoothies (any milk sub would work). I tolerate most fruits, but I suppose you could use canned fruits for the smoothies if you tolerate them better. I sometimes add nut butter for protein. My son loves banana, sunflower butter and vanilla coconut milk smoothies.

I've also make smoothies with veggies. I've added cukes and spinach to kiwi smoothies (no milk in these smoothies - just fruit juice or water and agave) to sneak in a few more veggies. The magic Bullet booklet will give you lots of ideas.

Mary Beth,
Thanks. I also have a big juicer. I guess when things settle down I'll have to try some new things like that.
