Food Intolerances : Gluten, casein, soy, and avenin, (avenin is the prolamin in oats, which is equivalent to the gluten in wheat), beef, grapes, peanuts, cashews, almonds, (but nut butters seem OK except for peanuts), citric acid, chocolate, and agar.

Here's another site that will provide assistance with medications. This is the one promoted by Montel Williams, (the tv talk show host):

Wow! That's pretty impressive, especially if it will apply to all prescriptions. We'll probably all want to move over there.

Now if we could just clone Sunny's GI doc, and throw in the UK's free prescriptions, we'd have it made. Very Happy

Maybe they'll enact a tax on the use of public restrooms. Laughing Laughing

If they start providing free GF food, in addition to the free meds, I know for sure we'll all want to move over there. Laughing Laughing Laughing

And the bad part is, as soon as any government anywhere in the world figures out a new way to add a tax, all the rest of them start mulling over the ways that they can use the same idea, to gain more revenue, whether they offer more services or not. LOL.

We used to have pay toilets here (US) in places like airports. I haven't seen any in years. Has anyone?

Those were privately-owned, though, weren't they? I think that Angy is referring to government-owned facilities.

The public toilet in Harrod's is 35p last time I was there. Jay feels that the cost of medical care in the UK far surpasses ours here but does sometimes take time for a doc appointment. He absolutely loves living in the UK and probably will never return here. Sad they are so far away, especially the grandchildren.

Love, Maggie
